About
FlowForwarder is published by Atomart, a software studio building products for industries where digital tooling has lagged behind practice. Freight brokerage is one of them: a global, coordination-heavy sector still largely run from an inbox and a spreadsheet.
Simplify freight brokerage for Africa and Europe. Not by replacing the broker — the value of the job lies in knowing the lanes, the partners and the customers — but by removing the mechanical part of the work: reading, re-keying, sourcing, chasing, comparing, formatting.
Market tools were designed for large Western shippers, with contract rate grids and predictable flows. Brokerage works differently: on the spot market, by email, in several currencies, with local charges that vary from port to port. A useful tool must start from that reality, not correct it.
Europe–Africa and Asia–Africa flows are getting denser and more complex. Local forwarders and brokers hold a real advantage: they know the ports, the procedures, the actual lead times. What they lack is the capacity to handle more requests without growing headcount at the same pace.
We want that local advantage to scale. A five-person broker should be able to reply as fast and as precisely as an international network, without sacrificing the relationship that makes the difference.
Roadmap
We prefer announcing a clear trajectory rather than features available “soon”. The priorities below come from user feedback.
Generation and tracking of ocean transport documents, automatically attached to the file with an audit trail on issued versions.
Direct retrieval of rates and availability from partners exposing an interface, to shorten quotation time further.
Support for the documentary requirements of each import market, starting with West and North Africa.
Interface and communications in French, English, Spanish and Arabic, matching the reality of the corridors we cover.
